Founder and Managing Director of Beach and Bay Development
After a successful 20+ year career in corporate real estate, Joshua has decided to bring his unique skills in real estate development and construction to clients that are in need of the sophistication of processes and delivery execution he has successfully completed throughout his career to bring value to their projects. Due to his experience, Joshua can handle all project typologies, including commercial office, industrial, hospitality, multifamily residential, specialty spaces, even high end single family homes. Joshua is involved in all aspects of Beach and Bay Development including development feasibility, entitlement management, design management, project management, construction management, and delivery.
Joshua started his career at Webcor Builders a large commercial general contractor honing his construction knowledge and completing some of the largest construction projects in the State of California through the aught’s. From there, he moved to Sares Regis of Northern California where he applied his construction knowledge and learned the real estate development processes to round out his abilities. Most recently he spent 8 years at Google as the Director of Real Estate Development where his responsibilities included both program development, entitlement, and project delivery of over $3B of ground up development.
Joshua holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis. In addition he holds an Engineer in training certificate, is a LEED AP, and is in the process of getting his California State Contractor’s license. He has previously served on the boards of Rebuilding Together, Bay Area Council, and the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). Joshua is a member of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), Corenet, and CMAA.
